#of Years on NSA: This is my 2nd.
I really like NSA for the social life. There’s usually always something interesting going on somewhere!
Of course I like the Navigator. I love interacting with other writers. I love writing. I enjoy editing. I have a small side of me that really gets a kick out of leading the pack. So of course I jumped at the job to become editor!
Craziest quirk: I have a bad habit of sitting on my left leg when I sit at a desk and it always falls asleep.

The one thing I enjoy most about NSA is how convenient it is. The Christian environment is also a great aspect of NS, it truly helps an individual on the road of devoting his or her life to God. What we are around ultimately plays a major role in who we are, and it has been great “seeing” friends grow and mature mentally and spiritually over these past four years.
I enjoy working and leading the Production team of the Navigator simply because I am leading something “in my own element.” Graphics design and organization are two of the things I am skilled at, and the Navigator allows me to usefully advance my skills while meeting excellent and amazingly talented individuals.

Ohh, I like NS because when the school shuts down, your teachers will never know if your working or not! haha not really. I love the Navigator because there is so much variety in the job and I can work on it whenever, I don't have to have set times ;)

It's been a real blessing to me to have such a flexible school schedule. Also, I have met some of my best friends through NSA (so exciting to have such a gathering place of cultures) and lastly, if you wanna know a secret, I really like seeing people's resumes! :O
I love the crazyness and the feeling of being involved in something that people care about. I also love to have a practical application for my love of graphic design, and in previous years, writing. Working with the Navigator has been an awesome lesson in how to work with a group.
What are you passionate about? Art! To me, passion is synonymous with art. It is in my blood, and in my brain. I express my emotions through art, see the world around me through other people's art, and marvel at the work of God's hands - his masterpieces.

Followers of Christ should not always condemn secular media, but seek to be involved so they may have a chance to shine Light.

What do you like on NSA/what do you like about working with the Navigator?
I enjoy the creativity of NSAers, particularly in the Navigator. It is great to see how the newspaper has grown over the past two years. Hopefully, this year will continue the trend and become even better.

#of Years on NSA: this is my second
I like NSA because you can get on anytime and have something interesting to read, someone to talk to, some random post to read. It's a great de-stresser after a hard day of school :] I also love knowing incredible people from so many places and being able to talk about my friend in [insert random country here]. As for the Naviagator, although I haven't been part of it for long, I like the dedication of all the staff, and being part of something that everybody is working really hard for, knowing that the end result will be amazing.
Craziest quirk: Being a kinesthetic learner (meaning I have to do something to understand it) I tend to doodle or mess with stuff a lot while I'm listening to the teacher explain something in class, for example. It just helps me concentrate. One of the things i mess with most is my earrings -- I'm always twisting them, playing with them, whatever, and consequently, the back always falls out and gets lost, which leads to the actual earring falling out too....because of this, I now have about 50 single earrings.

--Brittany Spears Oh, Britney...I remember when her first CD came out -- a bouncy, pure-pop album with a fully-clothed picture on the cover that my mom was fine with 8-year-old me listening to. And now....It just goes to show how far someone can fall, or much the world can corrupt if you let it.

What I like about NSA is that it is a fully functional school. I get all the benefits of Public Schooling and more. But I dont get all the junk that comes with Public or even Private schools. We as NSAers dont have to put up with teachers that expect too much, dress codes, shoot I can do my school in my PJs, and no one would know. We dont have loads of homework, when I went to school I was up until 10pm or later with homework. The teachers would especially pile it on over the weekends. Now I dont have the stress that I went through with homework, even when I was having fun all I could think about was if I got ALL my homework done.
What I like about the Navigator is that it gives readers interesting subjects to read about. And how many homeschoolers can say they are a shcool newspaper writer? Around this area, 3. My 2 brothers and myself.
What are you passionate about? Photography. I love photography and love taking pictures. I started about 2 years ago and former NSAer Mark Henspeter helped me with a lot, probably more than my own photography teacher. I hope to do some college classes in photography someday, and do it as a part time job.

I think what we are doing over there is good, because the world deserves to have freedom like we do, and so why should we pull out and condemn those people to a life less than what we can provide for them?

#of Years on NSA: newbies rule!! :]
To put it shortly, the Navigator runs in my blood. ;P Although I'm a newbie, I remember rooting for Nick Martin in the elections before I was ever on NSA. ;) My sister Kate was the reviver and sustainer of the Navigator last year, and my sister Charlotte had her hands in it as well. Despite the fact that I wasn't on NSA, I would faithfully read copies of the old Navigators, give my sister suggestions, and beg and plead for a column. ;) I think the reason working with the Navigator is so cool for me is that I've seen it in it's birthing stage, watched our family groan over uncooperative borders, and all such things...so being on this other side is a great adventure. Besides, I love to write, and this gives me a grand outlet for that. :D
Nickname (and story behind it) I have an abundance of nicknames, all selected spur-of-the moment by my sisters. I think my favorite is Baris Yeltzon. Kate often said my name the Russian way ("Yelena") which to her sounded an awful lot like "Yeltzon." One day...Bingo!! I am thus spending the rest of my life being refferred to as a pot-bellied Russian president...
