Hello friends one and all,
I hope this address finds you all well rested from the Christmas season, in control of your school and with great plans in regards to starting the second semester. And if you ended up having to work over the break, you have my deepest sympathies as well as my sincerest hopes that you can get school work under control in time to relax for future breaks. And now to cut to the chase, here’s a quick update from your Student Council leaders:
First off, as some of you may know, the student council has been busy with the slightly long-term task of cleaning up the Student Café. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of many people—special props going to Paige Walker and all the class reps working with her—the folders are surveyed, the concluding decisions have been made, and we are now in the final stages of clearing our beloved Student Café of useless folders. We’re also further straightening and organizing the rest of the Café. Thanks to those of you who provided input!
Secondly, this year’s first contest is in its final stages. The judges’ decisions have been made and, according to Kara Hochstedler, Special Projects Coordinator, the results have been tallied and posted in the Student Café and the Contest folder. Congratulations to the winners! The winning photographs can be viewed within the announcement email. To all the rest of you, keep up with the Contests folder (Student Café à Contests) to learn of upcoming contests in the near future.
In conclusion, do you have any thoughts on the Student Council? Any complaints, advice, or even just questions on what we do and how we work? If so, please, send us an email via the School Improvement folder (Student Café à School Improvement). We want to hear from you, whatever it is you have to say. After all, our purpose here is to represent you, the student body of NSA. So rest assured that whatever you have to say will be taken seriously.
