REGULAR LANGUAGE
The individual family is not purchasing the teacher-made lesson resources for private ownership, but they are purchasing a license to use the teacher-made lesson resources (during the school year wherein they purchased such license(s)) which will remain the copyrighted property of NorthStar International Academy, Inc., and any one who uses NSA coruses and services may not make copies of these lesson resources, on any media, to either share with or sell to other individuals. Users of the teacher-made lessons may not alter the content of any lesson and then claim authorship or ownership of the lessons. These teacher-made lessons will, at all times, remain the intellectual property of NorthStar International Academy, Inc.
LEGAL LANGUAGE
You understand and agree that the NorthStar Academy (NSA) courses and NSA services are licensed and not sold to you. NSA and its licensors retain the exclusive ownership of all proprietary rights throughout the world in the NSA courses and NSA services (including all audiovisual content available thereon). You agree that, except as authorized in these terms, you may not alter, delete, record, copy, reproduce, republish, download (except with respect to downloading capabilities expressly provided by the NSA program as a specified feature of the NSA services), upload, post, transmit or distribute the NSA courses or the NSA services or any audiovisual content available to you via the NSA courses and NSA services.
NSA is not responsible for any third party content or website you may be able to access using the NSA courses (including, without limitation, any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property of a third-party). You may encounter advertisements from other entities (“Third Party Ads”) while you are using the NSA courses or NSA services. NSA is not responsible for any Third Party Ads, or for any website or content that you may access by clicking on or following a link contained in a Third Party Ad.
Should you breach this Agreement, including without limitation if you breach the copyrights of others, NSA may terminate your access to the NSA services immediately and without notice. You may terminate the NSA services at anytime by following the enrollment cancellation process.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE NSA COURSES AND NSA SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS” BASIS AND WITHOUT WARRRANTIES OF ANY KIND. NSA AND ITS LICENSORS MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, NONINFRINGEMENT OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE CONCERNING THE NSA COURSES OR THE NSA SERVICES.
