Capstone Cooperative Design EVP (CLCR400e)
0.5 (yearlong course, meets every other week)
New for 2020-2021!
This course provides students the opportunity to work as a team to create a tool that can impact a real-world issue. The class will be largely student-driven in which the teacher(s) will serve as mentors to guide students through the design process as a team.
The course strives to help students build valuable real-life skills such as creative problem-solving, dealing with constructive criticism, interpersonal team skills, critical thinking, and clear communication.
The course will be offered in an EVP format that meets every other week for the entire EVP school year. It is a 0.5 elective credit.
*As part of the EVP program, this course will have a live class requirement once every other week at a set time; please see the website for time choices. This live class will include teaching, discussion with classmates from around the world, demonstrations, questions and answers, and other aspects of a live classroom. Students will have weekly due dates and stay on a traditional coursework schedule.

What does it look like to put all of the skills you’ve been acquiring in school into action in order to impact the world for Christ? You cannot do it alone. God wants us to learn how to operate as a team – His body.
If you would like the opportunity to work with a team of students to build important real-world skills as well as learn how the design process can help us create actual tools to impact the world for Christ, then this is the class for you.
