Doctrines of the Bible

Description:

This one-year course will introduce the principle theological beliefs for the Christian faith of the Evangelical community. During the course, students will study from extracts of Evangelical statements arranged in topical sequence and summarize such topics as the Gospel, Revelation (Bible), God, Humanity, Jesus Christ (Person & Work), Holy Spirit, Grace, Salvation (Justification, Sanctification, and Glorification), the Church, Religious Pluralism vs. the Uniqueness of Christ, Christian Social Responsibility, and the Future (Last Things). In doing so, this course seeks to reaffirm the salient features of the historic Christian creeds, identifying not only with the Scriptures, but also with the historic Evangelical movement.

FROM THE TEACHER

We don’t just study the Word of God to learn more and more and not be changed by it. That is what the Pharisees did. We want to “abound still more and more in real knowledge and discernment” (Philippians 1:9-10) “so that (we) may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless.” This one-year course will introduce the principle theological beliefs of the Christian faith within the Evangelical community. During the course, you will study in topical sequence and summarize such topics as the Gospel, Revelation (Bible), God, Humanity, Jesus Christ (Person & Work), Holy Spirit, Grace, Salvation (Justification, Sanctification, & Glorification), the Church, Christian Social Responsibility, and the Future (Last Things).

Student Feedback

Good course. I learned a lot.

It was interesting reading other students thoughts on the same subject!

I think this course is the best one I had!
