This course prepares you to understand and interact faithfully regarding economics in our society. You will define economic concepts and analyze why and how they work through real-world and hypothetical examples. With videos and case studies, you will explore both macroeconomic and microeconomic factors. You will learn how money, business, government, and society interact on a personal and a global scale while evaluating a Christian’s role within the economy.

Honors Economics (ECON450) is an eniched version of ECON400. The supplemental projects, lessons and assignments in the Honors course allow students the opportunity to reinforce their learning as they gain a deeper understanding of the material. Students are supported by the teacher and by the lessons themselves as they work through the course. Students in the Honors course can expect an average of 1-2 hours each week in addition to the regular course content.

Special Instructions:

*As part of the EVP program, this course will have a live class requirement once a week at a set time; please see the website for time choices. This live class will include teaching, discussion with classmates from around the world, demonstrations, questions and answers, and other aspects of a live classroom. Students will have weekly due dates and stay on a traditional coursework schedule.
