Meet Our Faculty and Staff

Stephanie Ann Foster

Teacher

While completing my undergraduate degree I spent four years acting and directing on tour in full-time ministry with the Covenant Players. Through them I had the opportunity to minister to the West Coast, New York, Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, and South Korea.

For the next four years (while completing grad school) I taught Drama and British Literature in South Korea. While there I served as Dramaturg for Seoul Shakespeare Company and founded Cut Glass Theatre. This small company of mine now stages literature-based tours at schools from Alaska to Australia (though a bit less often since my three sweet daughters were born).

I have worked for the past seven years as a teaching artist, teacher trainer, and curriculum developer for the California Shakespeare Theatre, and have taught online at the university and high school level. It has been a joy to meet students from so many places and paths.

While not teaching you can find me writing (an adaptation of A Little Princess, a story for the Peace Corps, an article in Teaching Shakespeare Magazine…), or doing silly voices for the weekly C.S. Lewis reading club at my church. I believe the written and spoken word can be powerful forces for good, and I look forward to exploring that goodness with students!
