FROM THE TEACHER
In this course, we are going to learn how America came to be! Yes, we all know about famous figures like the Pilgrims, George Washington, and Abe Lincoln… But what about everything and everyone else in between?! We will do a lot of fun projects, group discussions, and role-playing to help pull you into history to make it more like a story, more like a movie that reveals where we’ve been and where we are today. Many good movies have action, adventure, and mystery elements…. And so too does the story of US History! It may have happened more than a century ago, but I assure you that we will bring US History to LIFE in Social Studies 8.
If there are books and materials for this course, they can be purchased from our Online Bookstore.
