Position Overview:

The Admissions Specialist serves as one of the primary points of contact for prospective students and families exploring NorthStar Academy. This role guides families through the enrollment process, answers questions, conducts admissions meetings, and provides ongoing support from initial inquiry through enrollment.

The Admissions Specialist works closely with the Admissions & Advising team to ensure families experience exceptional service, clear communication, and a seamless transition into the NorthStar community. This position requires a highly relational individual who enjoys connecting with families, solving problems, and helping students find the educational pathway that best fits their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective families throughout the admissions process.

  • Conduct admissions meetings and guide families through application, enrollment, and onboarding.

  • Respond promptly to inquiries through phone, email, chat, and virtual meetings while providing accurate information regarding NorthStar Academy programs, policies, tuition, and course options.

  • Maintain regular follow-up with prospective families and support them in making informed enrollment decisions.

  • Maintain accurate records and communication history within CRM and student information systems.

  • Build meaningful relationships with students and families through proactive communication, encouragement, and personalized support.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of admissions and advising processes, resources, and departmental workflows.

  • Collaborate with Advising team members to provide a seamless family experience from inquiry through enrollment.

  • Participate in cross-training initiatives and support Advising activities during peak enrollment periods.

  • Contribute to a culture of generous hospitality, student-centered service, and collaborative growth.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, business, ministry, or a related field.
      • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
      • Comfort working with databases, CRM systems, and technology platforms.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience in admissions, enrollment, customer service, or educational support services.
      • Experience in Christian education or online learning.
      • Familiarity with student information systems, CRM platforms (specifically Zoho), and virtual communication tools.
