**An elective is any course of your choosing outside of the required and/or designated core courses.
***Students transferring to NorthStar Academy are required to take at least 25% of their coursework with NorthStar Academy in order to be eligible for a NorthStar Academy diploma. Even students who transfer in eighteen (18) or more credits from another accredited institution will be required to take at least 25% of their coursework at NorthStar Academy. This translates to a minimum of 6 NSA credits for students planning to earn the Standard Diploma and a minimum of 6.5 NSA credits for students planning to earn the Advanced Diploma. Students who wish to graduate from NorthStar Academy must be actively enrolled in NorthStar Academy during the academic year in which they complete the NorthStar Academy graduation requirements. For students transferring unaccredited, homeschool or non-US credits, the 6 NSA accredited credits must minimally consist of:
  • 1 credit NSA English taken during the first year
  • 1 credit of 400-500 level English during the final year
  • 1 credit of 300-500 level mathematics
  • 1 credit of 300-500 level social studies
  • 1 credit of 300-500 level science
  • 1 credit of Worldview
