In this course, students will build number sense and problem solving strategies. Skills covered in this course: addition, subtraction, multiplication, place value, temperature, rounding, fractions of a dollar, decimals, rate problems, division with two-digit answers, equivalent fractions, and more.
In Math 4, students will use Saxon Math curriculum as they explore and investigate mathematical patterns in our world. They will continue to build on their previous mathematical knowledge in numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis & probability, and problem solving using a spiraling curriculum. Students will master skills by working through lessons, daily practice activities, investigations, projects, classroom discussions, and individualized learning using web-based math games. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to continue on to 5th grade math.
