Anatomy and Physiology

Description:

With the understanding that we have been fearfully and wonderfully made by God, Anatomy and Physiology will study each of the major organ systems in the body with a focus on their primary organs and how they work to enable the body to remain in balance, all through a biblical perspective. Within each unit of study, students will explore how the different organ systems are interrelated and dependent on one another, how the structures within each support their designated functions, and how disease affects each one. Students will have multiple opportunities to build their own models for structures in the body as well as conduct their own research on specific diseases and the treatments available through the most current medical technologies and advancements.

FROM THE TEACHER

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him: male and female he created them” Genesis 1:27

Are you fascinated with the way our bodies work? Are you interested in a medical field? Or do you just love science, and you are ready to dive deeper? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then this is the class for you! In Anatomy and Physiology, we will explore the details of our perfectly created bodies. We will go through all the various body systems and uncover the mysteries that make you wonder how anyone could ever doubt the existence of our creator!
