1.0 (yearlong course)
Physical Science (PHSC100) & Algebra 1 (MATH100)
In this course, students will deepen their understanding of the composition of matter and the mechanisms that cause it to change. They will also explore the mathematical relationships of chemical reactions and gas behavior. They will develop lab skills as they investigate chemical processes. Students will also research strategies for using chemistry to manage resources effectively.
Have you ever wondered why some batteries can be recharged but others can’t? And why rust forms on certain metals when they get wet? In this Chemistry course, we will learn the answers to these questions and others!
Chemistry is the discovery of the materials of the universe and the changes that these materials undergo. You will be uncovering the mysteries of God’s Creation by analyzing and understanding these materials. As we dive into an exploration of the world around us at the atomic level, you will be amazed to discover just how creative and marvelous God’s Creation is! He cares about His entire Creation, even down to the tiniest of atomic particles; so imagine how much He cares about each one of you as well!

The course was incredibly well structured.
It was interesting to see everyone's point of view.
I liked the class overall; it was a nice class. But to be honest, it is pretty hard at some times. After all, who doesn't like a little challenge?! :)
