This course is an introduction to economics. It will include topics such as free enterprise, markets, capitalism, communism, socialism, and private property. Students will learn basic economic concepts such as supply, demand, and price determination.
This basic Introduction to Economics class will introduce you to supply and demand and how they work together to determine prices. You will learn the difference between luxuries and necessities in a world-wide classroom. We will talk about conspicuous consumption and why people spend the way they do. We will explore how different types of economic systems work as we compare and contrast the pros and cons of each. Join us in this relevant and extremely interesting class!
