Middle School Essentials

Description:

This course is designed to give a middle school aged student a taste of a course at NorthStar. This course is not heavy on graded assignments, but will allow the student to explore topics to grow them as a learner in the classroom and in life. This four-week unit will focus on: authentic identity, community of learners, building my team, and exploring positive transition (world focus). This course is great for a student who is trying NorthStar out or for a current student who wants to see if this elective would be a good fit for them. The full 18 week course is called Life Skills for Middle Schoolers (LS3).
