Science 5

Description:

This course takes students on a journey into the plant world of Creation. Exciting experiments and fun activities give students the opportunity to discover the fascinating characteristics of plant life and point them to the amazing Designer who created it all. Emphasis is placed on analytical thinking and observation of Creation evidences.

FROM THE TEACHER

In Science 5, you will be immersed in the world of botany. You will learn to identify and classify the plants our God created. When you finish this course, you will know how plants grow, how they reproduce, how they make their own food, how they receive nutrients, and why they are so important in our world. While you will spend time on creative daily assignments and projects, a large part of this course is hands on, and can even take place outdoors! Some labs in which you will participate include; dissecting a seed, growing seeds, making a counter-top greenhouse, growing a plant out of season, pollinating a flower by hand, and taking nature walks!

If there are books and materials for this course, they can be purchased from our Online Bookstore.

Student Feedback

It was a great class. I really like Science.

She gave me good feedback and when I got the assignment wrong she would tell me what I need to do to get it right.

The class was very organized and it being organized was very helpful.
