This course is designed to be a systematic introduction to Earth Science. The course covers topics such as the Earth’s minerals, energy, ecosystems, oceans, and the solar system. Its scope, therefore, is quite wide. There are many hands-on experiments, interactive activities, and choice assignments for students to enjoy.
Welcome to Science 8! This course is sure to grab your attention because we cover a wide variety of topics that are both interesting and relevant to your daily life.
Have you ever taken time to investigate what makes up living things and how scientists attempt to classify the amazing variety of organisms God created? What about human anatomy; how familiar are you with the various systems that make up our bodies?
Let’s go on a journey designed to be a student’s first systematic introduction to the sciences. The course covers the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, archaeology, geology, paleontology, biology, and human anatomy and physiology. Its scope, therefore, is quite wide. To accommodate a variety of learning styles, an assortment of activities is provided, including opportunities for students to do hands on activities and experiments.
